Hi, I’m Darcy.
I am a licensed and board certified behavior analyst and parent coach with over two decades of experience in understanding behavior through applied behavior analysis. I am known for blending deep clinical expertise with a warm, family centered approach that makes children and parents feel understood and supported.
I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University, where I focused on observational learning and language development. I have since worked across home, school, and clinical settings with children from infancy through adolescence with diverse developmental, behavioral, and communication needs. My work is grounded in careful assessment, data driven decision making, and individualized programming that targets communication, learning, independence, and social connection in ways that fit real family life. I specialize in helping families understand the “why” behind their child’s behavior so that strategies feel clear, practical, and truly doable. Parents often describe me as “calm, genuine, and welcoming”, and appreciate how I show that small, consistent changes can lead to meaningful progress over time. I strive to create positive, respectful environments where children feel successful and families feel confident, informed, and supported.
Above all, I value connection and believe that every child can learn and thrive when given the right tools and environment. I am deeply committed to partnering with families with humor, honesty, compassion, and integrity as children grow into more independent, engaged, and joyful participants in their everyday lives.
