Hi, I’m Susan.
I am a licensed clinician with over 13 years of experience providing support to children, adolescents, and young adults using developmentally attuned, evidence-based approaches. I utilize play therapy, sand tray, expressive arts, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help clients process feelings, build regulation skills, develop social skills, and repair relationships. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, warm and nonjudgmental and I approach each client need with sensitivity and a strengths based lens. I tailor treatment to each client’s identity, needs, and goals. I strongly believe that connection is key to a good relationship, which includes the therapeutic connection between client and therapist, as well as therapist and family. I value partnership with caregivers and schools to create consistent support and practical strategies that carry into everyday life.
My other passions include spending time playing with my children, hiking and spending time in nature, and practicing yoga (I am also a certified yoga teacher).
